We thought we’d check in with some of the production updates from earlier in the summer. One such area is the economy - first introduced back in July. Well, in our latest Sprint Demo, the feature team Tailo, had some new updates for us.
For now the circle works as following, a Seedling is assigned a job, when they do the job they get paid at the end of the day, the player can then use this to purchase goods and in turn the goods get delivered (this in itself is a job).
In the above slide you can see the hourly wage a Seedling earns when assigning them a job. They will then automatically earn this at the end of their shift, the amount going automatically into the player’s wallet. This can be seen in the top left hand corner - for now.
Then when you go to the supermarket and buy some goods, you will see in the above UI example how the goods’ price is automatically deducted from the player’s wallet upon purchase.
This is just the beginning - there's a lot more to come on this front!
